Every model can be engraved on the caseback. Initials, a date, coordinates, or a line that means something. Wedding day, child's birthday, the year you both met. Yes, as a gift they will wear — with honest limits. They are real wood, lighter than steel, and the grain is different on every case. They are splash-proof, not waterproof. They are not as tough as a steel sports watch. We back them with a two-year warranty and 90-day returns, engraved or not.
Years of daily wear if you keep them dry. The two-year warranty is the promise in writing. Most Forest watches are quartz, so a battery change every few years is the usual service. Riverstone and Woodhaven are automatic: no battery, wound by the motion of the wrist. What fails first, if anything, is moisture from a soaking, or the quartz battery.
Splash-proof: rain and washing your hands are fine. Not for swimming, showers or the sea. Wood and water are a bad mix if you soak the watch. Dry it if it gets wet, and do not leave it in a steamy bathroom.
